If your eSIM has been successfully installed, you should be able to find it in your device settings.
- For iOS devices, go to Settings > Mobile Services
- For Android devices, go to Settings > SIM Manager
If the eSIM has already been installed on your device, you may see an error when you tap the Install button again:
- For iOS devices, you might see messages such as “Unable to Activate eSIM” or “eSIM Cannot Be Added”.
- For Android devices, you might see “Code is invalid and cannot be used again”, “Couldn't connect with SIM. Try again later”, or “eSIM installation not possible”.
Rest assured, this is normal. If you encounter any of these errors, do not worry. You can follow the steps below to check whether your eSIM has already been installed successfully.
Step 1: Check the ICCID of your YouTrip eSIM
- Open your YouTrip app, tap into your eSIM details, and locate the ICCID.
Step 2: Verify the ICCID on your device
- Android: Found in Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Tap on the eSIM
- Apple: Found in Settings → General → About → Tap on the ICCID
If the ICCID shown in your device settings matches the one displayed in your YouTrip app, your eSIM has been installed successfully.
As a best practice, we also recommend that you:
- Delete any old or expired eSIMs if you have multiple eSIMs in your device
- Rename the eSIM on your device to avoid any confusion
- Review and try out the recommended troubleshooting steps if you face any errors
